Silvester Open Air Westerland

At the turn of the year, the Westerland promenade by the Musikmuschel band shell becomes a large open-air stage. Admission is free, and DJs play the biggest chart hits along with popular house and dance classics while thousands dance on the promenade and in the sand. Because of the many thatched roofs, a year-round ban on fireworks applies across Sylt.
