The Biikebrennen (traditional Frisian fire festival) is a North Frisian celebration marking the farewell to winter and is part of Germany's intangible cultural heritage. The northern villages of Kampen and Wenningstedt-Braderup gather at the fire station and the Friesenkapelle respectively and walk with torches to the shared Biike site on Leuchtturmweg near the golf course. There, after speeches, the great fire is lit.
