The Villacher Faschingsumzug (Villach carnival parade) is the highlight of the Villacher Fasching (Villach carnival) and one of the largest carnival parades in Austria. On Carnival Saturday, hundreds of masked groups and lavishly decorated floats move from Hans-Gasser-Platz across the Hauptplatz and the Draubrücke bridge to the Bahnhofsplatz, accompanied by tens of thousands of masked spectators. The parade is traditionally broadcast on ORF.
