Svensk Hyllningsfest

Culture festival · Lindsborg · October 15–16, 2027

Svensk Hyllningsfest is Lindsborg's biennial tribute to the Swedish pioneers who settled the Smoky Valley in the late 1860s, held in October of odd-numbered years. Downtown streets fill with folk dancing, ethnic food, arts and crafts, and a parade, followed by a smorgasbord and evening entertainment. Local schoolchildren spend months beforehand rehearsing the traditional dances performed during the festival.
