In winter the Nederlands Openluchtmuseum (open-air museum) in Arnhem transforms into a festive winter world. On the museum grounds visitors can find a historical winter market modelled on the late 19th century, a Winterkermis (winter fair) with a carousel from 1890 and a covered ice rink. Old Dutch Christmas and New Year traditions from various decades are also on show.
