Würzburger Faschingszug

The Wuerzburg carnival procession moves through the city centre on Carnival Sunday. The route runs from Ludwigstrasse via Theresienstrasse, Kroatengasse, Semmelstrasse, Textorstrasse, Haugerpfarrgasse and the upper Juliuspromenade, then on across Dominikanerplatz, Schoenbornstrasse, Kuerschnerhof, Domstrasse and Augustinerstrasse into Sanderstrasse as far as Sanderring, where it breaks up. The organiser is the 1. Karnevalsgesellschaft Elferrat Wuerzburg. In the previous year around 90,000 people celebrated along the route.
