Heidingsfelder Faschingszug

On Shrove Tuesday the carnival procession moves through the Wuerzburg district of Heidingsfeld. It starts at the corner of Winterhaeuser Strasse and Friedhofstrasse and runs along Klosterstrasse to Rathausplatz, then through Wenzelstrasse, Mergentheimer Strasse, Wendelweg and Andreas-Grieser-Strasse back into the old centre, ending in Seilerstrasse. The organiser is the 1. Karnevalsgesellschaft Elferrat Wuerzburg, with the procession managed by IG Zugleitung Heidingsfeld. A particular feature is the free wine fountain at the Nikolaustor, from which Heidingsfeld wine flows.
