The Hörnumer Hafenfest (harbour festival) is the maritime weekend in the south of the island and draws visitors to Hörnum harbour with free entry. The programme features live music, among others by the Sylter Shanty Chor, children's discos, hands-on workshops and food stalls. On the Saturday evening, a fireworks display lights up the sky above the harbour.
