The Hildegardisfest is celebrated in Rüdesheim-Eibingen with several church services and begins at 8am with a choral mass in the abbey church. At 10am the Bishop of Mainz, Peter Kohlgraf, celebrates a pontifical mass on the church square in front of the pilgrimage church. The veneration of the relics follows at midday and a ceremony with a procession in the afternoon. The day closes at 5.30pm with the Hildegard vespers in the abbey church.
