The Nordische Filmtage Lübeck (Nordic Film Days) are a renowned film festival for films from Northern Europe and the Baltic region. Feature films, documentaries and children's films are screened at several venues in the old town; the 2026 edition features, among other things, a retrospective marking the 125th anniversary of Thomas Mann's Buddenbrooks.
