The Lindauer Hafenweihnacht is a Christmas market set right on the harbour promenade of Lindau island, with views of the lake and the mountains. At more than 90 stalls the motto is 'Klasse statt Masse' (quality over quantity), with fair-trade goods and regional products. Along the waterfront promenade a fairy-tale forest with legendary figures and real animals welcomes visitors, and there is a stage programme with music. It is open Thursday to Sunday.
