The Schull- un Veedelszöch is Köln's carnival parade of the schools and Veedel, held on Carnival Sunday. More than 8,000 participants move through the city centre in self-designed, colourful costumes, often with socially critical themes; the route is similar to that of the Rosenmontagszug.
