As the state currently holding the presidency of the Bundesrat, the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen hosts the central celebration for the Tag der Deutschen Einheit. The Bürgerfest extends across the entire city center as far as the Osterdeich and the Weserstadion. On a Ländermeile the federal states present themselves, alongside a stage program of concerts and exhibitions, all with free admission.
