Bad Kreuznacher Fischerstechen

At the Fischerstechen (jousting on boats), lancers face each other on flat punts on the river Nahe. Rowing crews manoeuvre the jousters into position so that they can knock their opponents into the water; junior and adult teams take part. The whole contest can be watched from the banks of the Nahe. There is also an entertainment programme with music and food, and admission is free.
