The Rüüdig Samschtig centres on the Fasnacht society Fidelitas, which hosts its Fasnachts-Fäscht Unter der Egg with a bar, DJ and Guuggenmusigen. The old town is filled with exuberant street Fasnacht featuring the floats of the Guuggenmusigen and float groups, and the day is especially popular with families and small groups. In addition, a seniors' Fasnacht takes place at the Grand Casino Luzern.
