At the Lilu Lichtfestival Luzern (light festival), squares, landmarks and lanes of the old town, along with the area around the lake basin, are artfully illuminated. Around 24 light installations by artists from various countries can be seen daily from 6 to 10 pm. The walking route through the city is free of charge; tickets are available for the light shows in churches and cultural buildings.
