The Monstercorso on Güdisdienstag (Shrove Tuesday) forms the crowning finale of the Lucerne Fasnacht. From 7.30 pm all the Guuggenmusigen (carnival brass bands), small ensembles and float groups of the Vereinigte move through the city in a large night-time parade. The parade starts on Bahnhofstrasse and runs along the lake basin towards the old town.
