Note: the 2026 date is not yet officially confirmed – please check with the organiser before visiting.

Stuttgart, a small rice-farming town in the Arkansas Delta, hosts the World's Championship Duck Calling Contest as the centerpiece of the Wings Over the Prairie Festival every Thanksgiving weekend. The festival also includes a carnival, a gumbo cook-off and a 5K race, drawing duck callers and hunters from across the country. The event centers on Arkansas duck-hunting culture and has no German heritage connection, despite the town's German-derived name.
