Frankenmuth, known as 'Little Bavaria,' holds its Bavarian Festival every year on the second weekend of June, running Thursday through Sunday. The town was founded in 1845 by Lutheran settlers from the Franconia region of Germany. The 2027 edition is the 68th annual and includes German food and beer, polka music, and a parade through the Bavarian-styled downtown.
