Cullman, Alabama was founded by German immigrant John G. Cullmann in 1873, and its Christkindlmarkt draws on that heritage. The open-air market at Depot Park runs for over a month and blends German tradition with Southern charm, with more than 40 vendors, German-style food and drink, and a Christmas pyramid.
