Fastnacht Day

Carnival · Boyertown · February 9, 2027

Note: the 2027 date is not yet officially confirmed – please check with the organiser before visiting.

On Fastnacht Day the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles opens Fegely's Reading Diner, a preserved 1938 diner car inside the museum, for a few hours of coffee and homemade fastnachts sold at nostalgic prices. The event links the region's Pennsylvania Dutch pre-Lenten pastry custom, brought by German immigrants in the 17th and 18th centuries, to the museum's collection of locally made vehicles. It is one of the museum's most popular annual events.
