Amana Colonies Maifest

Funfair · Amana · May 1–2, 2027

Note: the 2027 date is not yet officially confirmed – please check with the organiser before visiting.

Maifest is the Amana Colonies' traditional German celebration of spring, held in villages founded by German Radical Pietist immigrants, with a Saturday parade and Maypole dancers performing throughout the weekend. It is consistently held the first full weekend of May: May 4-5 (2024), May 3-4 (2025) and May 2-3 (2026). Following that pattern, the 2027 festival should fall on Saturday-Sunday, May 1-2, though organizers had not yet published the exact 2027 date at the time of research.
