George Begg Festival

A retro-themed motorsport festival across Invercargill and Southland that recalls the 1960s and 1970s. It honours George Begg, a Drummond farmer-turned-engineer whose racing cars beat major overseas marques. Highlights include a classic car run around the region, racing at Teretonga Park, live entertainment and a disco-inspired party called Studio GB on the Friday night. The festival is pitched as family-friendly.
