[Z]aan de Wandel is an annual walking day through Zaanstad and the surrounding area; the start is at the Zwembad De Slag swimming pool in Zaandam. The proceeds go toward the fight against cancer and support research projects of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital in Amsterdam.
