De Stadsparade is the large historic festival parade held as part of the Maastrichtjaar. Inspired by the 1905 parade under Fons Olterdissen, special performances in the city centre bring the history of Maastricht back to life. At the end of the day, the performers move in a joint procession to the Markt square.
