The 4 Mijl van Groningen is a traditional fun run over 6.4 kilometres from Haren to the Vismarkt in the centre of Groningen. It has been held every October since 1987 and attracts tens of thousands of runners as well as many spectators. Along the route there is a festival-like atmosphere with music.
