On the weekend of Open Monumentendag (Heritage Day), numerous monuments and historic buildings in Arnhem open their doors free of charge. This nationwide cultural event is organised in Arnhem by a local committee and takes place on the second weekend of September. Visitors can view monuments that are otherwise not accessible.
