A large traditional street fair that takes over the wide thoroughfare of St Giles' in central Oxford for two days each September. Dating back to at least the 17th century, when it began as a parish festival, it now fills the street with fairground rides, stalls, games and street food. The fair opens on the Monday and Tuesday following the first Sunday in September.
