A curated programme of world-class opera, classical music, theatre and dance staged in Edinburgh each August. Founded in 1947, it brings leading international orchestras, ensembles and companies to venues such as the Usher Hall and Festival Theatre. It runs alongside the Fringe and the city's other August festivals.
