The Chester Winter Watch Parade is a torch-lit procession through the city's historic streets that re-enacts the medieval tradition of the City Watch guarding Chester at Christmas. Costumed characters, giant puppets, drummers and street performers lead the parade, which is usually held on a Thursday evening in early December.
