Europe's largest hot air balloon event, held each August in the grounds of Ashton Court Estate on the edge of Bristol. More than 100 balloons take part in mass ascents at dawn and dusk, alongside a funfair, live music, food stalls and the popular evening Nightglow when tethered balloons light up in time to music. Entry is free and the event attracts very large crowds across its opening weekend.
