London to Brighton Veteran Car Run

The world's longest-running motoring event, in which hundreds of pre-1905 veteran cars complete a 60-mile journey that finishes on Brighton's seafront at Madeira Drive. Crowds line the promenade to watch the historic vehicles arrive, where a finish-line celebration and vehicle display take place. The run commemorates the 1896 law that raised the speed limit and removed the need for a walker ahead of motor cars.
