Kärnten Läuft (Carinthia Runs) is one of the largest running events in Austria and brings thousands of runners to the Wörthersee lake each year. Its centrepiece is the Wörthersee half marathon on the route between Velden and Klagenfurt, complemented by shorter distances, relay events and children's runs. The finish and festival area lies at Klagenfurt's Ostbucht (eastern bay).
